About me

Short Biography

I am currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Information Systems at Singapore Management University. My research interests intersect natural language processing, information retrieval, artificial intelligence and social computing. I have published over 70 papers and articles at some major venues including ACL, EMNLP, CIKM, IJCAI, SIGIR, WSDM, WWW, ACM TOIS, ACM TIST, JAIR, etc. I broadly serve in the program committees of these main conferences and review for top-tier journals. I received my PhD and MPhil degrees from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and interned at Microsoft Research Asia during my PhD study. Before joining SMU, I was a Senior Lecturer at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, a Scientist at Qatar Computing Research Institute, and a Research Assistant Professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
